INTERIOR CLIMATE-CONTROLLED & DRIVE-UP STORAGE IN POTOMAC YARD

Amazing customer service! Needed a smaller unit and was able to pay and start moving things in on the first day! The building is SOOO clean and I had no trouble entering or exiting the premises. If you need a storage unit quick this is the place to go!

During my short time with Mini U Storage (formerly Self Storage Plus), they have made my moving experience exceptionally easy and convenient. The following 4 factors really stand out and are the determinant reasons why I went with Mini U Storage: 1. Location & Security - The neighborhood Mini U Storage is located in appears safe and in a well developed neighborhood. The facility appears secure and is well lit, with reasonable access hours every day from 6 AM to 10 PM (including major holidays). 2. Cleanliness & Climate-Controlled - The inside of the facility appears well kept and smells clean. My storage unit was spotless and with the climate control, I was not concerned about humidity or temperature damaging my furniture. 3. Staff - The staff (Henry and Shirley) were incredibly helpful, friendly, and honest. They answered any questions that I had, allayed my fears, and made sure to inform me of all of their offerings and promotions so I could make an informed decision regarding my next steps. 4. One-Stop Shop - I think one of the most helpful and deciding factors was all of the equipment the facility provides to its customers. In addition to the moving platforms always available when bringing your items inside, the facility has an initial free offering of a sprinter or box truck rental for moving large furniture for 24 hours, and the price on the consumable packing goods sold in the front office appears reasonable and not price-gouging. Alongside the fair prices listed online as well as the 12-month locked rental fees, I feel safe and secured knowing my items are stored in Mini U Storage.

Was able to set up a storage unit fairly easily. The facilities was very clean and organized and staff was super helpful

Reserving the unit was super easy and the unit is clean, well-lit and accessible. The front desk was great to work with and answered all of my questions.

Website gave me trouble but went in a was able to see units and rent a unit quickly and with no problems. The facility is new and super clean. Update: 2 years later getting a larger unit, online was simple and I was able to see more than one unit and pick one. Fast and easy!

Fantastic storage facility. I’ve used several storage facilities in the NoVa area and this one is by far the best. Clean, secure, and very professional staff.

Our experience at Mini U storage unit has been fantastic. I feel very secure knowing our things are here. As a military family it can be stressful to constantly have your things packed away, but the accessibility of these units has been a huge plus. The staff here is also amazing! They are so kind and accommodating. I would come back to this place every time! Definitely worth the investment!

Henry and Shirley are the best staff ever! The place is clean and easy to maneuver.

Did a walk in to see what they had available and was quickly shown some of the units. Access was easy and the facility is very nice and clean! Specials available are definitely a help as well for a short term renter

Clean facilities with a convenient location. Tons of carts available. Staff, especially Shirley, is super helpful and knowledgeable.

My husband is in the military and we just moved to the area and needed a storage unit, since we downsized. Shirley and Henry at Mini U storage Potomac Yard are extremely professional, kind and were great to work with! Our storage unit came with shelves and the facility is well maintained and clean with easy access. We highly recommend this storage unit facility!!

Mr. Henry was amazing at getting me all the information I needed and settling me into a unit.

Very positive experience. Friendly staff, easy access to the storage. Highly recommended

Henry helped me today and he was absolutely delightful! He made the whole process of getting a unit very easy and very quick! I would definitely recommend getting a storage unit here.

Friendly staff giving me a full rundown of how things work. The pricing is decent after taking the promotion (for me, complementary mover, as well a free lock, etc...). Facility is very clean and access time is very good even though this is not a 24/7 facility. Definitely a good option to consider.

Free use of a moving van and help moving in. Can’t beat it!

Shirley at the Potomac Yard location was fantastic! Professional, helpful, showed us lots of options to help us find exactly what we needed. Clean, recently renovated facility, accesible and close.

Clean storage space with truck rental available. Shirley, who was helping me was extremely helpful and made the move-in process seamless. Would highly recommend!

I’ve moved twice in the past year and a half, and this place has truly been the silver lining throughout the process. The staff are always incredibly helpful, kind, and welcoming. Being able to get all the moving supplies I need locally is such a blessing. It means I don’t have to guess how many boxes or other supplies I’ll need before I even start packing. Their guidance and convenience have made each move so much less stressful. I genuinely cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Great customer service. Clean, reliable, simple and efficient. Great management team. Thank you Shelly and Henry!

Great storage unit and very clean. Henry was super helpful and friendly. It’s already stressful moving and having someone like Henry to assist just makes things easier.

Staff at the Alexandria site were super helpful and able to show me all the units to fit my needs. The complimentary van/truck service was a huge part on why I selected this company to store my belongings.

Henry was phenomenal. A+ customer service. I will be back

Tony was amazing very professional and the best place to secure my belongings! Thank you Tony!

Great customer service from Shirley! She’s the reason we got our storage unit and we are happy with the service.

Henry is exception!! The units are clean and the facility is well kept.

Henry was very helpful, and the facilities are nice and clean.

I went to rent a storage unit today and had a wonderful experience working with Henry. He was super professional, responsive, and transparent about the unit conditions. He was very patient with my requests to check out and switch units and made the whole process so fast and easy. I was in and out with a unit within half an hour. Henry was also very warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The facility itself is in great condition and feels very reliable. Highly recommend!

We came in today to inquire about a store unit and lovely Ms. Shirley Smith greeted us with a smile and immediately assisted to help us find the perfect storage unit! Thank you Shirley 😊 🙏🏽 💓 Mr. Henry was also very hospitable too!! ⭐️✨️🙏🏽

Henry’s customer service was out of this world! Friendly and helpful. Was able to get in and out w no hassle

So far so good. Clean facilities. Professional and kind on site staff.

We booked a unit online in advance before coming in person to tour a couple storage options. Shirley was very helpful; we ended up signing the lease and she made the whole process very quick and easy. Would definitely recommend! Pro tip: booking online gives you way better pricing.

Had a great experience touring this facility. Shirley walked us through several different unit sizes, which made it easy to compare options and figure out what we actually needed. She was upfront and clear about pricing for each unit and explained exactly how facility access works. The units were clean, well-lit, and clearly labeled. No pressure to decide on the spot — just a straightforward, helpful tour. Would recommend to anyone looking for storage in the area.

We've been using this location for years and just added a second storage unit. Excellent customer service and very clean.

Excellent customer service!

Absolutely the best experience- Shirley and Henry are helpful, patient, knowledgeable and pleasant!! Totally thrilled I found them- the facility is clean and well maintained.

Shirley was excellent with everything, great service!

It was the best experience. Best place

Very clean and professionally ran storage facility. Shirley was a great help!

It is a good customer service, I recommend it.

Shirley was great showing us around helping us pick out a unit. The facility looks clean and new, and the Swann Ace location in Alexandria VA is convenient to Del Ray and Potomac Yards.

Friendly and informative tour given by Shirley. Cleanest storage unit I’ve seen in this area, happy to be patronizing this facility.

Great costumer service with detailed instructions and plenty of perks!

From the start, storing the unpackable things from our move at this spotless, brand new location has been a great success! We couldn't have done it without Kirsten's guidance and great service from everyone. You can tell that other customers feel the same way - a very positive place!

Kirsten was professional, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the storage unit rental process. She communicated clearly, answered all questions promptly, and made the experience smooth and stress-free. I appreciated her attention to detail and willingness to help. I would highly recommend working with Kirsten to anyone looking to rent a storage unit.

We came in today for prices and Kirsten was absolutely amazing! She explained the whole process in great detail and we walked away with a new unit.

Kirsten was very helpful with my transitiknto another storage place!

I had a great experience with the move in thanks to Shirley! Could not recommend this place enough; they are so helpful, kind, and very good with communication.

We've used Mini U Storage twice. Both times the sales staff was extremely helpful, professional and friendly. The facility is extremely clean and neat. Entry is easy and seems to be very secure. Access hours are very convenient. I highly recommend this facility.

We just needed a small storage unit for a couple of months. We visited and were helped by Shirley who was extremely friendly and helpful. She walked us through the facility for a tour and we were in and out in 20 min. The 5x10 unit we rented was extremely inexpensive with their promotions. They also offer a moving van to move things into your unit.

Awesome! Shirley and Henry were awesome! Great help and very professional!

Truly wonderful people, extremely helpful and warm. Definitely don't think twice! Clean facility, great availability and they'll throw in a few free things for you.

I had a great experience with Mini U Storage, and I especially want to highlight the outstanding service provided by the manager, Henry, and staff member Kirsten. From the moment I walked in, they were professional, friendly, and genuinely focused on making sure my needs were met. Henry runs the facility with care and efficiency, and it really shows. Kirsten was incredibly helpful, patient, and knowledgeable, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. Both of them went above and beyond to exceed customer expectations, answering all my questions and ensuring I felt confident with my storage choice. I highly recommend Mini U Storage to anyone looking for a clean, well-managed facility with exceptional customer service. Thanks again to Henry and Kirsten for such a great experience.

Great! Henry was very friendly & helpful. Beautiful facility in the perfect location for my needs.

Janet was wonderful to work with. She was very helpful and informative. She took her time to show us different options and al though she was filling in she really did make us feel taken care of. The unit itswlf was clean and ready for move in and i would recommend this company to anyone in need of a easy storage experience

I’m SO glad I found Mini U! With a gap between leases, I had to find somewhere to store my things for a few days, and I was stressed about how much money/work it would take to find an affordable unit AND pay for movers to help. The Mini U staff was very responsive and friendly from the start, especially Shirley! They offer so many great promotions and services, including a deal with a moving company where they cover 2 hours of your move. The facilities are clean, easy to access, and equipped with plenty of loading space and dollies. Mini U was an awesome option for my very short-term situation. I’ve already been mentioning them to people and would definitely recommend if you’re looking for storage in the area!

Henry and Kirsten were very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. The lease signing process was transparent and seamless. And they offered first time customers use of a rental truck or van.

I had to switch storage facilities unexpectedly with my belongings on the moving truck (see my review for SecureSpace in Arlington), and came back to Mini U Storage. I had previously rented with them and was impressed with their climate controlled, clean facility, so I thought it was my best option. Mini U saved the day! Within minutes, I had secured two large units (discounted for the first month), and our movers were able to unload us quickly using one of the several loading dock options. Mini-U also allows renters to use a courtesy van or truck for a very reasonable $20, and that definitely came in handy a few weeks later. Special shout-out to Kierston, who is a model for customer service and professionalism. She was extremely compassionate and calm during my stressful situation. She reached out when she noticed I hadn't locked my unit completely, and also when I was nearing the end of my rental term to make sure I didn't get overcharged. She's a nice, pleasant lady who cares about people and treats them well. I would definitely, definitely rent here again.

I had minimal expectations for a storage facility but I was very impressed with the layout, cleanliness, and features of the facility plus the office staff (Kirsten & Henry) were exceptionally kind, cheerful, and helpful!

Extremely clean and well managed storage facility.

I had a great experience at Mini U Storage thanks to Shirley! She gave me a quick and informative tour, answered all my questions and made the whole process of getting a unit super easy. Friendly, professional and efficient. Couldn’t ask for better service!!

Kirsten has been fabulous in helping me thru the sign on process. Her personality is wonderful. She is extremely helpful and caring of her customers. She is a wonderful person and a genuine pleasure to have met and worked with. The process was made much easier due to her caring and assistance. She deserves all the star ratings that are available. Best customer service I have experienced.

Outstanding Service and Immaculate Facility! From the moment I walked in, the staff was professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. They took the time to explain all the options and helped me choose the perfect unit for my needs. The facility is clean, secure, and well-maintained. I really appreciate the climate-controlled units, excellent lighting, and easy access. It gave me real peace of mind knowing my belongings were safe.

My friend recommended this storage facility. It is clean, well-organized, and has climate control. Although the prices are slightly higher than some of the other storage facilities that I inquired about, the customer service is exceptional. Mrs Shirley's customer service can't be beat, she's fantastic! She answered all of my questions, and she's warm and friendly. I would give her 10 stars on that alone.

I’ve been renting a storage unit here for about a year and a half and I’ve had a great experience. The facility is kept very clean and the temperature is well maintained. The price only got raised once or twice in that timeframe which is exceptional. Alot of storage places raise the cost every couple months. I moved in when the neighborhood was under construction and I never had an issue getting in or out of the facility. The staff are also great. Super nice folks and always ready to assist. We moved out today and it was a very busy day for moving with at least four trucks in the loading dock area. Some of the movers were not as amenable or accommodating to other trucks but the staff got it sorted out so my movers could get some space at the loading dock. Great service. Highly recommend!

The staff at this location are top notch! Henry was our original contact and was professional, knowledgeable and gave us exemplary customer service to secure two units for our needs. Every staff member we became acquainted with during our moving process were personable and friendly with exceptional customer service skills. The facility is maintained well with ample carts and parking areas to unload. We feel confident that our stored items are in good hands at this location.

Had a great experience here! The storage facility is clean, easy to navigate, and they provide the equipment you need to move stuff into your storage unit. The front office staff was also super helpful and were more than happy to give us a tour of the facility! Totally recommend using this facility.

I had a great experience with Shirley! She was incredibly nice which made it easy to ask questions. Shirley took the time to answer every question I had thoroughly and patiently. Her friendly demeanor and clear communication made a great interaction

The staff at this location is outstanding, and the facility is clean and well maintained. We have had experiences with other storage facilities and this one is top notch!

I would highly recommend this storage facility to anybody in need. They helped us find a unit within the price range and size that we needed, and remained flexible on several occasions when we needed support to access it. Kirsten was especially helpful during a stressful situation trying to coordinate movers and get into our unit when the key was displaced—she was kind and calm as she coordinated a solution with her manager. We feel valued and protected as customers, and appreciate the outstanding customer service at this location.

I came to the store and was assisted with an amazing employee of yours, Mr. Shirley Smith. Mrs. Smith not only made it easy for me to rent a storage with you but also made me disregard other options I had before I came to the store. I appreciate her warm welcome and her great way of handling her business.

Henry was so fantastic! He helped me out with my first big storage unit! He super kind and informational! Just the person necessary for support!!! Ask for him!

Kirsten is amazing! Service and space meets my needs.

Staff is friendly, the move-in process was easy, and they offer competitive prices! Highly recommend choosing this storage unit over others.

Ms. Shirley was fantastic . Walked my mother and I through the whole process and we walked away feeling very knowledgeable about our storage unit. If we could we would give her a 10 out of 10!

Stopped by to check out the facility proper to committing to a wine storage locker. Henry and Shirley were both very helpful and showed me around the facility. Would recommend!!

Henry and Shelly provides outstanding customer service whenever you need them. The best storage unit facility in the area!

Easy process and clean facility. Kirsten was welcoming and thorough!

I managed to snag a unit at this location for a great deal (that was apparently a mistake on the Mini U website-- but the deal was honored anyway!). Kirsten and Henry were friendly, helpful, and patient with all my questions as a first-time unit renter. The facility is very new, clean, and accessible. The ramped loading dock is a huge plus in my book. The staff was always prompt to pick up the phone when I had silly questions. I would absolutely recommend this location not only for the facility, but for the great customer service!

Henry, Kirsten and Shirley were so helpful and kind. It was a quick move for me and they made It painless! I highly recommend!

Henry is a great property manager and has good customer service. I would recommend this storage facility to everyone.

Kirsten and Shirley were an absolute pleasure to deal with each time I came in. Highly recommend Mini U!

I can’t say enough good things about this storage facility. Everyone that works there is so kind and helpful. I feel safe going there alone, even in the evenings, and the place is clean, thoughtfully designed and fairly priced. We’ve rented two units there at different times and can’t imagine going anywhere else!

The whole team: Henry, Kirsten, & Shirley had been absolutely helpful and understanding. The facility is safe, clean and well lit, and the location makes it extremely convenient to access my items when needed. I couldn't have made a better choice. Thank you all so very much!

Excellent service and fair prices!

One of the best storage places I've used in my many PCSs in the military. They have a large box truck or a van you can use for free upon renting your unit (there is a damage fee and a 50 dollar deposit, you get back) First month is free!

Amazing experience. Shirley was super helpful, friendly, and made all the process very easy

Even coming back to retrieve me belongings Kirsten and Henry were once again extremely kind, professional and helpful in our move out process. I highly recommend!

Shirley and Kirsten have a wonderful customer service with Excellent friendly and word wise approaching. I appreciated both of them how they are going far to help customers. I forget the name of the manager who ignored the incident that happened in the facility. He was the first person appeared during the incident time in the facility, but he ignored and run away from the facility. Thank you Shirley and Kirsten for handling all the long day situation in the facility. God bless you and your family.

KIRSTEN D. was the best. She showed us several options for storage. Although we were not planning to move at this time, she gave us several reasons why we should move from my current storage unit at Cubesmart and move to Mini U storage. She was super awesome, very helpful and thoughtful, professional. Expert Service!!!!!!

Newly renovated and clean. Good specials going on this month which is why I chose this storage place initially. It is also climate controlled and secure with controlled gate and cameras inside and out. It was easy to reserved a unit and sign up. I chose a 10x12’ on the 2nd floor for my needs. Process took about 20mins to view the unit and sign the paperwork. Kirsten was very helpful, friendly and informative. They have elevators, carts, dollies easily accessible. And a rental box truck if needed. There is still new construction ongoing around this location. I still recommend this place

Henry and Kirstin delivered amazing support during the research process, guiding me through how facilities work and how to access, down to the final move in and even helping me open the door when ordering my boxes for the final move in. Excellent members

Kristen was super helpful and friendly! Couldn't have asked for better service

Best experience in my time of need. Henry and Kirsten were very helpful ! My needs were met with kindness and compassion I am definitely recommending this storage facility. Thank you guys so much !!!!!!!

Kirsten is super helpful and made my reservation process a breeze!

Nice and clean. Great service and great prices.

Kirsten was fabulous on the phone and meeting me in person to secure a great unit. She and Mike are awesome. Give these two a raise!

Kirsten and HENRY AND MIKE provided AMAZING customer service!!! True professionals!!!

Kirsten and Henry are the two best ppl I have met at the storage. They are so friendly and professional. I enjoyed working with them and recommend this place with all my heart.

Team is incredible. Really well run. Mike went way above and beyond.

Extremely helpful, pleasant. Great representative for mini storage.

The staff are fantastic! Every time I'm here I make a new friend. Kirsten made the check-out process a cinch. I highly recommend!!

Excellent staff! The renovated space is SO NICE. Great lighting, air conditioned, easy access. They now have wine storage which is pretty neat. Highly recommend.

Kirsten was very knowledgeable, courteous, and kind.

If you are searching for a storage unit in the area - look no further! Mini U Storage is the best place for all your storage needs. Every staff member goes above & beyond to provide exceptional customer service and makes the entire experience seamless. I highly recommend them and you'll be happy that you chose Mini U!

Mike got me oriented to the unit and location and Kirsten did a great move for me today. Simple and smooth operation, wow. Henry has worked with me before on determining possibilities, and is an excellent general manager. High marks for customer experience. Thanks!

Great customer service. Renting a unit was very easy to set up, everything was clean and very straightforward. Thank you!

Delightful and flexible team, super convenient location!

Nice friendly people. Free truck for move in. Easy access. Good deals.

Attempted (paid) to rent a unit only to find out facility is closed even though the sign says it’s open today. They remediated the issue. Really great people.

Staff very nice and helpful especially Jessica! Storage units and facility very clean and ALL are climate controlled!

Super helpful staff! Jessica and Sterling answered lots of questions and made the move-in super easy. It’s also very conveniently located, so a great value too!

The team let's you know they care and are always willing to help. Not only great service, but great follow up on issues of concern for we, the customers. Keep up the great work!

Carol is awesome. Super easy super clean facility

Despite the construction of the condos next door…would 100% recommend!! I had a storage unit here for about 3 years during COVID. I originally selected the location for a short term storage during the pandemic. Since then they have completely renovated the storage facility. There is 24-hr surveillance and easily accessible. I have always felt safe and like my unit was secure and free of bugs/rodents. The climate controlled units made it comfortable for storage for my valuables, especially during times of extreme temperatures! They even moved my belongings during renovations and the movers did an amazing job to make sure everything was transitioned safely! I absolutely hate moving especially interstate moves, but was really impressed with the staff (Henri) who assisted me during my move out. He was kind, thorough, and was there for any questions I had. Thank you Henri for being so kind during a stressful time.

Great service, easy place to rent and happy with the location. I would recommend this to anyone in the area needing a little more space!

Awesome experience, Jessica was so helpful and transparent and made the process of leasing a space seamless and convenient

Amazing service, amazing staff. Jessica and Henry were really great! Helped me with everything I needed. Would highly recommend!

Great service and prices!

Jessica has been extremely helpful and very clear on how the process works on gaining a storage. The facility is very clean, security cameras everywhere, customer service is very nice. A pleasant experience.

Jessica is awesome, super helpful and friendly!

I've been renting a unit, since September 2020 with the previous owner's, now it's Mini-U-Storage, the one thing I love about this company is I can use my insurance instead of theirs, because I trust my belongings with All-State. As far as the facility goes, I think the improvements are good. Considering the space is more organized and cleaner; the staff is professional and helpful all the time. I'm glad the construction is allowing the main street to be open.

Very clean! Easy to access! Great management! Thanks!

Really great facility. It looks brand new and the whole building is climate controlled. Compared to other facilities in the area, this was definitely the best deal. Jessica was great and made the lease signing process super easy!

State-of-the-art storage facility at an ideal location. Excellent customer service!

This is an excellent facility with excellent staff. Self storage facilities can be hot or miss. Many are years past their prime filled with mediocre staff, with "climate controlled" being a marketing phrase rather than a genuine feature. This Mini U location is excellent all around. 1. The staff: Jessica and Henry were accommodating, super friendly and helpful. Just top notch. 2. The facility itself is new, clean, secure, and climate controlled. Having rented at other "climate controlled" facilities where the interior temperature was barely different than the outside conditions, the pleasant temperature inside the building was more than just a surprise, it was quite shocking (in a positive way). 3. There are plenty of carts and dollies available near the loading areas. Anyone who has arrived at a self storage location only to find that all the carts are missing understand how important this is. 4. Free storage shelves. They provided one large storage for our unit free of charge. This alone saved us 100+ dollars. 5. The move-in van service is a nice touch, and the fact that one of their vehicles is a brand new Sprinter van is a differentiating factor. When it comes to a storage facility, I think what most people are looking for is a safe, climate controlled, convenient and easily assessable facility. This checks all those boxes. Throw in excellent staff and pricing that was below local competitors at the time of our rental and it was a no brainer.

I’m new to the area, and this location is awesome. Everything is new and clean. I enjoyed Jessica and her customer service. I highly recommend this location. She made me feel welcomed and at home.

Jessica and Brittany were the best with my move in!

Really good people. Amazing staff and good service

Staff was great and very helpful!

Great staff! Henry took care of me right! Smooth process and the building is spotless. Great facilities and equipment.

Henry was great. Very friendly and helpful

Great initial customer service from Brittany & Henry !

I had a bunch of questions when I was finishing the process for my storage rental. Henry was very friendly and helpful. He explained everything that I was looking at and paying for. Glad I went with Mini U for my storage option

Always helpful

Very friendly and very helpful:

Fantastic service. 5 extra stars for Melissa

I had an incredible experience with MiniuStorage. The woman who helped me was so easy to deal with. Melissa has a very friendly, and was knowledgeable about what I needed. She made the process a lot easier. Would definitely recommend this place.THANKS

The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating and the facility is very clean and well-kept. I would definitely recommend this storage facility.

Henry was very professional, informative and provided emaculate customer service. Would highly recommend this storage facility.

Now, although I’m a first time Mini U Storage user…I’m not new to great customer service with a smile and active listening, which I noticed when I called, 11th May23@Thursday looking for a storage unit…Ms Sarah front office assistant answered that call with clarity inviting me to come and see for myself… once I arrived at the 605 Swann Ave Alexandria, Va Mini U Storage location I met Mr Henry Property Manager greeted me with a smile and ready to show the various units to accommodate my needs and budget…straight to the point and no bait n switch…I was excited then as I am today… I would definitely, Recommend…Mini U Storage for there many services offered such as Wine storage

we are glad to decide to go through this company. Henry is the most friendly person and he went beyond to accommodate our needs upon signing up. The property is clean and in order. Definitely will recommend this place to our friends.

Great place — great deals, great service, great facilities. Henry and Sarah were both very helpful and positive. Thank you for helping get us set up!

I’m glad I decided to go through this company. The staff was very accommodating upon sign up, the place is kept clean and in order, and the unloading doc with the garage door helps with large loads. Shout out to Trey for all of their help.

This place is incredible! Henry is the most friendly person and you can tell he loves what he does. The property was immaculate even though they were doing construction. They have a gorgeous wine storage area that will be opened soon. The lighting is very well done and makes you feel secure. They have a great selection of moving supplies in the office. You MUST go see this place!

I’ve had a unit with MiniU at Potomac for a little over a year and have always had a great experience. They moved my things for me to a unit in their newly renovated building saving me the hassle, Thanks 🙂

Greetings, I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how pleasant we find the new storage facilities at the Potomac Yards Mini U Storage. The cleanliness is greatly appreciated, and the new lighting system is a great improvement. That bathrooms are conveniently located close to the storage units is terrific. All-in-all, it is a vast improvement. And many thanks for all of your help in the transfer from the old unit to the new. Sincerely, William Mansfield

Great management and service. Provided convenient options for when they had to move our unit due to renovations. And, renovations look amazing.

Friendly staff Because of construction now have to enter on Calvert

I've had a storage space with Mini U since 2019. I had a great initial experience with this store - friendly and helpful and they saved me money on my monthly rate. They had to move my space when the first building was demolished but they were quick and careful when relocating me. Yesterday I went into the store to rent a second space. Henry was at the counter and made sure I was happy with my new space. Even though the counter was very busy, Henry took his time with me to explain the terms of the agreement He was knowledgeable and answered all my questions I highly recommend this location of Mini U -- stellar service and safe spaces

Henry is amazing! I love going here for supplies, Henry is so nice and helpful. Great place for storage as well. Very convenient.

I enjoy storing my items here. The customer service is great! Mr. Henry has gone above and beyond to help me out making my move in process seamless. Thank you!

Site has some construction but okay to drive in. Staff very nice and helpful.

I was dreading the drive to home depot so I looked for place close to my area for moving boxes and found this place across the street from me. The staff who helped me was so polite, professional, and also took the moving boxes I bought to my car so I wouldn't have to carry it. Their boxes are def good quality and I have to say I got a better pricing/deal than what I would have paid at Home Depot for high quality moving boxes. They also have tapes and other supplies. Def going back for more boxes.

I have been a renter at this location for 30 years thru a couple of ownership changes. This new one (miniustorage) seems at least as good as the others I've experienced. They seem to be improving the facilities as well. No complaints to speak of & generally competent service.

The facility is clean and very accessible. With a $5 million renovation in the works, it’s only going to get better. Tyrone and Shaquana are friendly and efficient, and they epitomize good customer service. Rent is affordable, and the lease terms are agreeable. I’m confident I made the right choice with Mini U Storage.

I've been renting here since January 2015. I Hoggard to a larger unit. The two employees in the office today - Shaquana and Tyrone - were SPECTACULAR in their service, knowledge, and professional disposition. Any industry with customer-facing positions should have folks like them in their office.

Wonderful customer service by Tyrone! Whole process was efficient, fast and easy. Great prices on the units, as well. Thank you!

The staff was super helpful on move in day. They walked me through all the details of my storage unit. I also used the truck rental, which, if you are able to reserve, is a great perk for using this facility. The bays and elevators were easy to use and the access to the unit is great.

My husband I came there on Monday and we had the best customer service experience with a gentlemen named Tyrone. Although we did not rent a unit, only because of the door heights , Tyrone went above and beyond to show us multiple units and gave us a few suggestions. He definitely made us want to rent here. Thank you Tyrone, you're the best.

I just set up my storage unit at Mini U Potomac Yard and found the facility to be clean and well organized. Tyrone answered all my questions and got me set up right away.

Great customer service. Units for a great price and they have good deals. Very professional and they also have kits to help keep your items protected.

They were extremely helpful. Wonderful. Got me set up with a unit in the same day. Highly recommended.

Very nice costumer service it was fast took less then 20min for the prosess

Great people! Tyrone was able to help me with supplies in a pinch when everyone else was out of the things I needed. SUPER convenient location too!

I rented a storage space from here this morning. The staff was efficient, accommodating, and professional. I look forward to using them for my future storage space needs.

Clean and convenient facility with super nice staff! Plus better rates than other storage facilities in the area.

I had great experience with Janet at Mini U Storage. She was able to help me get my unit picked out. Even though I was in towards the end of the day she was able to get me set up without a problem. Highly recommend storing here.

Great location to store your belongings! I feel very secure leaving my things here

I had a great experience getting set up in my unit, which was more spacious than I expected. The service I received from Janet was exceptional and their facility is in a convenient location right off of Rt 1.

Been storing here through the pandemic... I appreciate the kindness of the staff- lost my keys and door code and they were just the best.

Great and attentive group watching over our unit.

The gents working here were extremely helpful. I was only buying boxes for a move, but if you live in Crystal City/ Pentagon City/ etc. and need boxes or tape it will save you at least 30 mins sitting in traffic to just buy your packing supplies here. Also, the boxes were not cheap but were signifigantly better than the other boxes I bought. Ended up putting everything I really cared about in the boxes I bought here and at the end of the move I am glad I did. Thanks guys

Bobby is awesome! Best and easiest self storage experience I’ve had. Can’t beat the price or the service. Highly encourage anyone in the greater DelRayborhood to use this facility!

The best storage place in Washington D.C. I will recommend to everyone who needs a storage place. Manager Bobby Dudley helped me from the jump and answered all my questions. Super knowledgeable in what he does and takes pride in it. Someone give him a raise !!

Christian was very wonderful in helping me find the perfect unit for my needs. He was very professional and friendly! Quick process to getting what I needed too! Thank you Cristian!

Nothing fancy here, but serviceable and handy. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the price is right.

I have been storing at this site since 1991. I have been pleased with the facility itself and with the service. I recommend it.. Charles Hatcher

I was in the market for a convenient, but more importantly, affordable storage unit. I came across self storage plus in my search and it suited my needs. But, what really impressed me, was the customer service... specifically the general manager, Bobby Dudley. Bobby is genuinely a good person, and it shows through his customer service and how he treats and talks to you. He took the time to show me around the facility. Bobby broke down pricing and benefits of each unit I was interested in. Once I finally picked a unit, we identified an issue with latch and door frame. He made sure that issue was taken care of by the time I used the storage on my set date. I had another issue on the my first day of use of the storage and he took care of it right then and there. He really just goes above and beyond what’s expected and I genuinely appreciate that. If you’re looking for an affordable storage unit and seeking good customer along with it, then Self Storage Plus and Bobby are the way to go!!

It is in the simple transaction that business have the ability to create big impressions. I was completely overwhelmed with the customer service provided by Bobby when renting a storage unit. The transaction would have been acceptable if he had just registered my payment and provided the unit. He went above and beyond by creating a unique customer experience. He took me to the unit, walked through the features and facility setup and then made sure everything was satisfactory. Phenomenal customer service!

I had a unit for 7 years here that I closed today. It's reasonably priced in a great location, easy to access, clean, and the staff are wonderful. Customer service is excellent. I could not have asked for a better experience and the manager who closed me out was impeccably polite, concise, prompt, and helpful. He made me feel welcome back any time, no guilt for closing out, wished me the best. Everyone always greets with a friendly smile and makes your time feel like a priority. I didn't know I could have such positively strong feelings about a storage unit but here we are - I will actually miss it.

Although the rates steadily went up as the years went by, the customer service was great, I never had any actual issues with the facilities or billing, and there was no issue with me randomly closing my unit the day before the end of the month. Will definitely consider in the future.

Friendly and courteous staff, competitive pricing. They made it a breeze to sign our contact and easy to terminate the contract when we were done with the unit, which I appreciated.

Awesome experience. Super friendly customer service. Bobby was super helpful and eager to offer support and expertise in any way he could.

Happy with the location!

Great deals & affordable. Staff was great when getting my unit all setup. Lots of carts & very clean!

Seamless and friendly service, great space, easy access, easy to manage payment and billing. Great place to store your stuff!

Basic, but inexpensive, well-run, and great access. I had a large amount of stuff to unload for temporary storage from a Penske truck - fortunately the loading dock has covered roll-up access and lots of carts, so it went relatively fast & trouble-free. Bobby & team was very helpful assisting with the special rates.

Easy access. Great rates. Bobby the manager has excellent customer service.

Great location for me, and wonderful help and customer service from Bobby, the manager. Lots of storage options for month-to-month leases.

Safe, clean, friendly, kind, reasonable, reliable, understanding, convenient, I could go on...

Self Storage Plus in Alexandria is great. The staff is friendly, and efficient. The location is very convenient.

Service is great, storage works for our needs no issues here. The staff and manager have always beens super helpful.

Stopped by this weekend to access my storage unit. Christian was extremely helpful and made the experience very pleasant. He answered all of my questions and did a good job of explaining the basics!

Self Storage Plus has been a task saver. When I needed to find a location, the staff was friendly, efficient and attuned to my needs. I had a great deal going on and Desiree provided that additional support to help me get into a unit quickly. Bobby is the manager at the Potomac Yard location and he is the best. Every time I needed help or needed to make changes, he provided expert advice and the details, enabling me to make an informed decision. Margaret who also works at Potomac Yard is a very pleasant and professional compliment to Bobby. This team understands customer service and being there when needed most. Thanks for making my move and leasing that much easier.

I defenily recommend this place because have good deals also I recommend Margaret give excelente costumer service and she is so sweet and helpful..

We have a commercial storage unit at this location. The Staff helped answered many questions, the site is very clean with a very friendly staff. The staff helped answer many questions and had make our job easier by making recommendations and offering quick solutions to problems. The experience is better than we expected. We do always make recommendations to our clients. The experience is better than we expected. We trust them to our self and our clients.

Easy process , friendly staff, and good value for the money so close inside the beltway. All the paperwork can be done over email/online. Check-in was easy and staff very helpful. Would recommend.

Thank you Bobby and staff for always being professional and caring to your customers. My daughter and I will definitely recommend family and friends to this location for you made us feel like family. Thank you so much.

Fantastic customer service, clean facility. Will definitely keep them in mind for my storage needs.

Amazing service. Very friendly, polite, professional, organized and great price. A good example how a business should be running. Thanks.

Margaret was wonderful and assisted me with securing the perfect storage unit. She made it easy and was very nice to work with. Thanks so much Margaret!

Self Storage Plus did an excellent job of helping me with a difficult move. My movers only gave me a few hours notice that they were arriving. Margaret and Bobbie helped me with all of the details and requirements. I couldn’t have done it without their help. Margaret and Bobbie have strong customer service skills and know how to take care of the customer!

Margaret at the front desk was a huge help. Very friendly and professional. Fair prices, great customer service.

My company stored materials at Self Storage Plus for many years! It was the perfect amount of space for our needs, was always easily accessible when we needed to use items in storage, and was kept clean and temperature controlled very consistently. When I had questions or needed help, management was always easy to reach and quick to provide the answers I needed. High recommend this facility for your storage needs!

Margaret was amazing and so helpful. I’d been searching all day for a storage solution and she was kind, helpful and all over it!

Had great service for about a year! The staff is professional — Bobby and Margaret are wonderful in their approach and dedication to service! Overall, 10/10!

Margret was an amazing person to speak to and she was very helpful, professional and her personality was very unique and friendly ! Overall, There was Great service !

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank y’all!

I had to stop in to get some packing supplies, but didn’t really know what I needed. Margaret was able to walk me through some options and help me make some good decisions. She also was great to talk to, it was super customer service all around!

I came in to buy some boxes today. Margaret was so nice excellent customer service . It almost made me want to rent here. But I do not need a unit right now. But I love how professional she was. I will be renting here in the future if I ever need a unit.

Margaret was absolutely amazing!! Very happy with the service I received. The storage unit was clean and near the elevators, which is just what I requested. Very fair pricing too. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone 🙂

I had an excellent experience renting a 5x10 storage unit at Self Storage Plus in Alexandria. The customer service was superb. When I rented the unit, the staff kindly showed me the multiple options available and helped me determine the best storage unit for me. I ask many questions, and the staff was very patient and helpful in responding to my queries. I kept my belongings in a storage unit at Self Storage Plus for approximately 6 months, and I felt confident during this time that my belongings were safe and secure. The move-out process from Self Storage Plus in Alexandria was very smooth. I had an interior third floor unit, and the elevators worked well, and Self Storage Plus provided dollies that allowed me to easily move my belongings. I am very thankful to Self Storage Plus for a wonderful experience with a storage unit (my first time renting a storage unit) and will be back to Self Storage Plus in Alexandria if I am again away from the DMV area in the future for an extended period of time. Thank you, Self Storage Plus!

Nice and professional staff Bobby!

Recently my unit here had to be moved because the building was going to be demolished. This could well have been annoying, but the company gave me a new unit in a nicer building, comped a month, and hired movers so that it was as painless as possible. The staff is uniformly helpful and professional, and I'm happy to be a customer.

Does it look a bit rough on the outside...yes. But the price and location can’t be beat and I think my stuff will be safe and secure. Also Bobby the GM was great and got me setup quickly.

I would like to convey to you my private impressions of the excellent service I received from manager Bobby Dudley supported by assistant manager Dezaree Lipscomb at the Self Storage Plus Potomac Yards facility. In November I received an E mail from Bobby informing me that it was necessary to move the contents of my storage locker to another building on the same site. In my response, I explained that I was living in the United Kingdom and was unable to travel to Washington to be on hand to oversee the move. In his reply he kindly offered to facilitate the arrangements with a local moving company. I called him again to discuss the details and found his response to my questions to be precise and reassuring. The management of the whole process including the administrative aspects was very professional. I was kept fully informed before the move and on the day of the move by e mail and during my phone call to him. For people who move abroad for short or longer work assignments such service is highly valued. In summary Great service delivered across the Atlantic Kind Regards

I arrived near closing time. The gentleman was courteous and showed me multiple units that would accommodate my needs. He walk me through the process and made it simple to rent. One of the easiest rental processes that I have experienced.

I have been renting here for several years and am completely satisfied with the top quality service that I have received.

Staff is excellent! Bobby helped me get set-up and on my way within 20 minutes. The whole process was very smooth!

Love the location. Great price. Always has dollies available

The folks at Self Storage Plus were friendly and professional. The facilities are clean and secure. This was a good experience all around

Mr. Bobby was awesome and very informative. Thank you!!!! And even the call representative was informative and helpful

Great customer service! The general manager, Bobby, did a phenomenal job helping me select a unit to fit my needs. He also worked to ensure I got the best value possible.

Great management, very helpful and available whenever I needed. Easily moved up to a larger unit when needed as well. The entire facility is very clean and lots of pallet carts, etc. to move your things in and out.

I was looking for a storage space in the neighborhood. I accidentally saw the sign and walked in , what a pleasant surprise! the whole team are so friendly and helpful, David and Deserie are both awesome, especially the general manager Bobby, what a professional! kind, efficient, knowledgeable and most importantly, he looks out for the best fit for the customer, I ended up getting multiple units but feel very happy and content with my decision! The building is older, but a solid space with competitive price, and the best service you can ask for after a few visits to the other facilities. Highly recommend this place for your storage needs!

Wow! I wish the entire moving process could be as stress free, simple and courteous as Bobby is. Not only was he a pleasure to talk to, but a wealth of information about the area we are moving to, the size unit we would need, etc. Granted I’m a new renter, but the customer service and cleanliness of the facility is a big thumbs up ... and in closing I didn’t realize it wasn’t a climate controlled facility until Bobby told me. The units had a very comfortable temperature, making me feel “comfortable” about storing almost anything in the units

Bobby, the Property Manager, was absolutely amazing. We are new Self Storage leasers and he was absolutely phenomenal with walking us through the process of selecting a unit, explaining unit availability, overall details about the facility, and then explaining details about other nearby locations etc. Highly Recommended! Phenomenal Customer Service!

I just got a unit here and it was the most enjoyable process! The Manager was a delight and walked me through every step of the process in detail and answered every question I had. I highly recommend this place, you will get an excellent location at a great price with amazing customer service.

Had a good experience finding this place and setting up my storage unit - it was easy, fast, and efficient. Bobby was very knowledgeable, friendly, and an overall great resource.

I had an incredible experience w/Self Storage Plus, Bobby D. was so easy to deal with. Bobby has a very calming, easy going demeanor about him so he made a stressful situation a lot less stressful. He is so very knowledgeable & overall just a kind person to work with . My sister had a lock she wanted to use , the lock was too big, Bobby offered to make a modification so we could use the lock, we declined and purchased a lock from the facility because that would have been too much work, but we were so grateful that he offered. This has been a win - win situation for us working w/ Bobby & Self Storage Plus. Bobby did not provide good customer service, he gave us excellent Customer Care, Thank you!!

Had an excellent experience thanks to the branch manager, Bobby! He was patient and helpful with finding the best unit for me. I ended up coming back a 2nd time because I decided I needed the next bigger size up unit. Bobby was again super helpful and switched it right out for me. He made my experience so convenient. I would absolutely recommend this location

Great secure storage

Bobby is such a great manager of this location. They are always so prompt responding to replies and were flexible in finding solutions. Bobby especially is so professional and I feel so comfortable storing my car here. It’s also so convenient to DC and surrounding areas.

Asst. Mgr. Bobby was professional, helpful, and efficient from start to finish. He personally followed up by phone when I booked online. He took me to see the proposed unit to be sure that it was to my satisfaction before we sealed the deal. He has followed up via email to ensure that all is well. The location is excellent for us. I am impressed by the multiple security features, 24/7 accessibility, multiple loading bays, plenty of carts/dollies for use, lighting on timers. The company also offered a 1st-month free special and additional discount for the first several months. Thank you!

Bobby helped us get our unit in a matter of hours for a great price. Highly recommend Potomac Yards Self Storage Plus and Bobby!

The representative Bobby was very well spoken and mannered . His service was satisfactory and expeditious .

When I had some issues accessing my unit the assistant manager, Bobby Dudley, made it extremely simple for me. He also made me feel as though security is taken very seriously and not just anyone could get access. Plus he is very kind and personable! I had a storage unit here for many years and always felt like my account was handled professionally and I was kept up-to-date on its status. Also closing out my account was a breeze! Thank you, Bobby!!

Josh was very friendly and helpful and took great care of us! Would definitely go back!

Very professional and informative. The Assistant Manager Bobby was awesome! We explained our needs and he was able to help us in making an informed most economical decision for our situation. Timing is everything for the size unit needed. Also, I recommend reserving online then going to see the unit and Bobby's friendly face and positive attitude.

The assistant manager, Bobby Dudley, reached out to me after I completed the online reservation. Bobby was extremely knowledgable and great to deal with over the phone. I look forward to my move in date with Self Storage Plus!

Great rates, efficient, convenient, very nice staff, well managed and clean units.

Amber and Gayle greeted me and showed me to my storage unit on a golf cart. They were so helpful, accommodating and friendly. The storage facility is well-run, clean, and organized. I highly recommend storing here!!!! A+++++

This review is a bit late. I used SSP in late March. When everything was closed, they were open and helpful in getting me the supplies I needed for a cross country move. Pleasant, helpful with suggestions, and fair pricing. Would use them again if I still lived in the area.

Great service. Really friendly staff... convenient Amber is awesome...

Great location, clean, safe. Great customer service. I am glad that I found this company!

Great place , great staff!
