Comment: Been there with 3 units for 2 years. Paid accounts on time until recent, several life events have created some creative financial juggling. Late fees for one storage unit are disturbing. $26+. I talked with the manager, of course, nothing they can really do, they try I believe. I only asked for a little relief to return my units to the veterans discount I should be receiving (and was) supposed to have for all 3 units. They assisted and got it updated (except all of but 1 unit). But corporate in their infinite wisdom keeps returning to the old rate. This is just ridiculous how this continues to go on and on and on and on. No customer care, poor website management and poor record keeping (at best). New employees who are not supervised and have no knowledge of business procedures and policies before being allowed to work on their own. So, I now have 2 units at one price and one more at another price, although at one time they were priced the same. Ultimately this is a corporate business true and through, and customers only matter for that first visit. I would avoid this place like the plague if you can, there are so many more storage facilities around that have it together, I have genuinely followed up and only wish I could move. Too much logistics in that for now. I was there for only a few short months and they had already raised my units $23 for two, the other came later. I will be however working to consolidate and then close and/or move to a more common sense storage community. Note, l frequently find nails, glass and shrapnel in front of the units at almost every visit. Suggest you check your area and your tires. Simply, all I am saying is please do the research, ask the tough questions to avoid the eventual stress to come. It's a business, and some businesses treat people with dignity, respect and common sense too. Not with Mini-U. The management staff move on too frequently from this place. I believe those currently in place have tried, but in the end, with corporate screwing it all up, it all comes up short for customer service. Mini-U is a slug of a company and should be ashamed of the way they do their business. It is only my opinion on this post, however I cannot stand this company for the way they have treated me, and I only have myself to blame and I need to correct it. And I will. Rating: 0.
